Assembling:
Step 1:
Take the front and back panels of outer fabric and pin together the sides, stitch. Take the bottom piece and pin the bag shell (w/RS together) to the bottom piece, bottom of bag goes length wise. side seams at rounded sides. Repeat for lining, leaving a 2 opening for turning the bag.
Step 2:
On lining, mark 4/5″ (2cm) down for placing of magnetic snap on both panels, in the center. Open these marks with scissors by folding the marks in half and barely snipping them.
Step 3:
Install the snap. I used a small piece of interfacing between the the snap back and the fabric, I find it protects the lining material.
I also used a bit of electrical tape to protect the outer fabric.
Step 4:
Now take the lining shell, place inside the outer bag shell, with right sides together. Pin together. Stitch up the curved side of straps. Now stitch the center. Turn the bag right side out through the 2 in opening in the bottom of the lining, stitch closed. For the straps, tuck one strap into the other and stitch closed. Top stitch around the top of bag.
Now your done and ready to use your bag!!
